The Cocker Spaniel is a medium size  dog  breed . Despite its name, its birth took place in Spain, where the rose bush or marsh birds to be slaughtered and then collected. Arrived in England and Wales, up to 1800 were used to hunt woodcock. There came to be called Cocker Spaniel

Origin:
